Who we are

KidsCampaigns is the information, knowledge and action center for adults who want to make their communities work for kids. We're creating a cyber-community for adults—on behalf of kids—that helps jump-start real communities to act on behalf of children.

We're asking users to Get Started, Get Smart and Get Connected for all our kids. But how you do it is up to you. Take a look at noted children's author Richard Louv's 101 Things We Can Do For Our Children's Future. It's a good way to Get Started. Click on Get Smart and find a blizzard of kid statistics and facts on just about every issue of relevance to kids—from education to day care to substance abuse. Use Kids Count data to profile how well your community is working for kids. Or, if you're ready, Get Connected, and hook up online with one of the hundreds of organizations standing ready to link your interests in kids with local activities.

Our site is brought to you by the Benton Foundation. It contains several noteworthy campaigns on kids, including a national public service campaign produced by the Advertising Council, called Whose Side Are You On? This campaign seeks to motivate Americans to act on behalf of kids. KidsCampaigns is also the electronic home of the Coalition for America's Children. The Coalition consists of 350 organizations—from the local children's hospital to the PTA and Junior League—all working to improve the lives of America's children. And KidsCampaigns allows you one-stop shopping for dozens of children's issues linked to hundreds of organizations that are campaigning for kids across the country. Every day, we're enlisting more groups and efforts to join KidsCampaigns, so keep coming back to see what's new!

This site is supported by generous grants from the AT&T Foundation and The David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
